Our Story
Bolt Gun Nation was founded in 2018 by a group of passionate precision rifle enthusiasts who recognized the need for a dedicated community in New Mexico. Our mission is to promote excellence in long-range marksmanship through structured competition, training, and community building.
What started as informal gatherings at local ranges has grown into New Mexico's largest precision rifle community, with regular matches, training events, and a thriving online presence. We're proud to have helped dozens of shooters advance from beginners to national-level competitors.
Our Approach
Our competitions follow Precision Rifle Series (PRS) style formats, emphasizing practical field shooting from various positions and under time pressure. We design stages that challenge shooters of all skill levels and provide valuable learning experiences.

Founder / Del Norte Match Director
Andy founded Bolt Gun Nation in 2018 and currently serves as the Match Director for our Del Norte events. With over 15 years of experience in precision shooting, he brings expertise and passion to our community.
Ellyn Felton
Marketing / Communications
Ellyn leads our marketing and communications efforts, ensuring our community stays connected and informed. She brings a wealth of experience in both precision shooting and strategic communications.
Joe Gurule
Equipment Specialist / Instructor
